A beautiful spring has unfolded this month as we begin our 25th year of farming in Rising Sun, MD. It is a simple pleasure to look out at the asparagus beds, the fruit trees and all spring veggies popping up in the fields. It is hard to realize how long ago we searched for the right location to put the pear & apples trees. Where to site the asparagus beds – realizing how those decisions would become permanent.
We have been busy March – enjoying the nice breaks in the weather to plant anew.
As we look back on our 25 years at the farm, we realize how blessed we are to have the privilege of working the land. We are also thankful for all of our friends and customers over the years. Many of our delivery sites will be celebrating milestones with us as we begin a new season.
We hope you will be joining us for summer CSA – there are a few spots left – here & there – including the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in Annapolis. Information for sign up can be found on our web site : www.calvertfarm.com . We also offer a payment plan thru the credit card payment via the website.
